Actress Maame Serwaa inks 5-year deal with Silvanus Records
An entertainment company Silvanus Records has signed a five-year contract with Ghanaian actress, Maame Serwaa, known in real life as Clara Amoaten Benson.
According to the contract, Maame Serwaa will be getting an undisclosed amount of money, a car and house.
It is rumored that the juicy deal with the free-spending record label is worth $1 million, a car and a house.
Speaking at a press conference held on 1st March, 2018 in Accra, the CEO of Silvanus Records, Bright Benson said his company was ready to help the arts industry and push Maame Serwaa to greater heights.
“We have interest in all disciplines of the creative arts. We have an agenda to produce movies. Some people think movies are not selling in Ghana now but I can also tell you that movies are selling. It’s about how you produce it.”
“As people who have franchise for a particular award scheme, the best you can do is to contribute to that sector. We cannot run a movie awards when we don’t have anything doing with movies. It is our plan that we put out our own movies on the market,” he said.
Mark Tetteh, manager of the Maame Serwaa said plans would be made to make the actress cross over to Hollywood.
In tandem with this, she has been enrolled in the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) to hone her acting prowess.
Present at the unveiling were Actors Bill Asamoah, Baby Blacnhe, Don Little.
Maame Serwaa has starred in movies such as ‘The Twins,’ ‘Maame Serwaa In Love,’ ‘Abusua Mefri Mu,’ ‘Sike Pe.’
