Zylofon Meda introduces fund for creative artists
One of the major problems of the creative sector in Ghana seems to be getting an antidote from entertainment conglomerate, Zylofon Media.
The company has introduced a fund to assist people in the creative arts industry who are financially handicapped to embark on their projects.
At the launch held on Friday, 19th January, 2018, the Head of Communication for Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah said the Zylofon Arts Fund (ZAF) would relieve arts people of the drudgery in getting funds for their projects.
He explained that a five-member committee had been constituted to analyse applications of creative arts personalities before granting them money for their initiatives.
Sammy Flex added that no interest will be placed on cash taken from the Zylofon Arts Fund.
“We believe in the sustainability of the fund so Zylofon Media has decided to put 10% of profits we will make from our worldwide businesses into the fund to support it,” he stated.
Another thing the company has planned to do to sustain the fund is to seek support from business partners and associates like Menzgold.
Samuel Baah noted that fund raising concerts will also be organised in and outside the country to fuel the plan.
The 1 Billion Dollar Zylofon Arts Funds can be accessed by everybody who plies their trade in the creative arts industry.
Interested persons would have to send their applications to the Headquarters of Zylofon Media at East Legon in Accra for review.
