Encore: Kwahu calls for return of Bliss on the Hills concert
For the first time in the history of Kwahu, a lot of revellers thronged the mountains during the yuletide to have a feel of the maiden edition of the ‘Bliss on the Hills’ concert.
Kwahu is noted for its Easter festivities which for many years have hosted thousands across the country.
These Kwahu annual Easter festivities have really generated tourist attraction, aside the host of activities organised for the people.
However, the acceptance of the maiden edition of Bliss on the Hills from 24th to 26th December, 2017 and the call by patrons for an encore, really shows the Kwahu is getting ready to have a Christmas version of Kwahu Easter.
Over 30 artistes comprising gospel, Hi-life, Hip-life and dance hall musicians thrilled Kwahu during the Christmas season.
The show registered a huge attendance with great performances from the artistes.
The older generation was served good high life music from Amakye Dede, legendary Nana Ampadu, Aberekyereba Kofi Sammy, Nana Tufuor and others on the eve of Christmas.
On 25th December, 2017 the gospel lovers congregated at Kwahu Abetifi to worship with Nacee, S.P Kofi Sarpong, Kojo Ampong, Piesie Esther, Nicholas Omane Acheampong and a lot of gospel artistes.
The 90’s bad gal, Ebony, Patapaa, Shata Wale, Stone Bwoy, Wutah and many other acts took turns to rock the stage on 26th December, 2017.
Patrons of the event were so happy and requested that the show returns during the Eastern period.
They were thankful to the Member of Parliament for Abetifi constituency, Brian Acheampong for engineering the concert.
According to Media Excel, organisers of Bliss on the Hills their aim is to promote the arts and culture with Kwahu as the center for entertainment in Ghana and West Africa.
