Sarkodie promises ‘Highest’ Rapperholic Concert on December 25
Michael Owusu Addo known in music business as Sarkodie will be holding the 5th edition of his annual Rapperholic Concert on 25th December, 2017.
In a press launch organised over the weekend at the Multichoice office, the rapper said this year’s concert will be the highest in the history of his career.
“This year I nearly cancelled the concert. I told my team if I didn’t release the ‘Highest’ album I wouldn’t do the concert. God being so good the ‘Highest’ is out and the fact I have something new to give to my fans, is everything for me and just looking forward to 25th December. Honestly, we’re gonna have a great night,” he said.
The show organised by SarkCess Music in collaboration with A-Team will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Christmas Day.
According to the organisers, even though they were not going to mention names of the particular artistes joining Sarkodie for the concert, they were hopeful it will be bigger than the previous ones.
“This year’s edition is going to be out of this world. We are saying expect the unexpected. Anybody who is anybody in music on this continent and around the world is going to be on this stage. You know that Sark has had a lot of collabos this year and, so you can imagine a lot of those people that have been working with him are going to turn up,” the organisers said.
“But as we always do, we keep the artistes who are going to perform on the night as big surprise and on the night, we know that you will be blown away,” they further stated.
However, they confirmed that UK-based band Compozers will be the main band for the show.
Sarkodie recently released his fifth album “Highest”, which follows Makye (2009), Rapperholic (2012), Sarkology (2014), and Mary (2015).
