Best Boss Promo:  Winner Afua celebrated

Thirty (30) staff members of the Royal Bank joined the winner of Citi FM’s Best Boss Promotion, Afua Nana Kyerewah Ababio at the Peduase Valley Resort over the weekend for a big party.

The programme which was held on Saturday, 11th November, 2017 was meant to celebrate Afua who is the Head of Private Banking at the Royal Bank, as part of her package for winning the promotion.

Afua and her staff were treated to good music, food and drinks as they enjoyed the serene environment of the Peduase Valley Resort.

Ms Kyerewah was appreciative of the kind gesture by her staff and the organisers and admonished other bosses to nurture good relationship with their subordinates.

“It’s quite nice to know that my staff appreciates all the things I do to them. I think I’m very mean – even my sisters say I am mean, I am prim and proper and I’m a bit hard on them but I’m happy they appreciate it,” she said.

“We all come from different backgrounds so bosses must assess the strengths and weaknesses of their subordinates and know how to deal with them,” she further advised.

Grace Foachie Sobre, a Relationship Manager with Private Banking in Tema could not hide her joy when she attended the programme.

“I’m happy to be part of what Citi FM is doing for her because she is an awesome leader. She will correct you if she has to and if there is the need to punish, she will. She’s more like a big sister,” she said.

Afua emerged winner out of about fifty (50) entries that were received from employees of different companies who nominated their bosses in the Best Boss Promotion.

The promotion, which ran for about two weeks, sought to honour bosses of various institutions and companies.

Listeners of Citi 97.3 FM were asked to send a write-up of not more than 100 words on why their bosses should be celebrated.

The Best Boss Promotion is sponsored by Nasco and Nederburg Wine with support from Peduase Valley Resort and Bosphorous Restaurant.
