‘One Corner’ is my song – Shatta Wale
Dance hall artiste Shatta Wale has descended heavily on critics of Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ song.
Since the song became popular, a lot of people have called it ‘useless’ and have described its accompanying dance as demonic. To cap it all, actor Lilwin has also done his version of the song.
Shatta Wale, not satisfied with these developments, took to his Facebook page to vent his anger on the detractors and lend his support to the up and coming Agona Swedru artiste.
“Patapaaa one corner, no video, no airplay, street support. Only God can do this no be man …God bless the real ones and fire bun da fake ones…One corner is my song,” he wrote.
The controversial artiste who expressed his fondness for the song also implied from his post that it took God and the ordinary people in the streets to make the ‘One Corner’ song a hit and that anyone that does a similar one is fake.
The ‘One Corner’ song went viral after Patapaa had performed it at the Akwambo Festival at Agona Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana recently. What made it travel faster was the weird dance that came with it. It was surprising how people could hit even gutters to dance, amidst gyrations.
The song even though hollow in content, is very danceable and can pass for any ‘jama’ song.
In the meantime some have bashed Lil Win for riding on Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ to do his ‘Corner Corner’ song after the latter had declined doing a remix of his ‘One Corner’ song with the former.
