Zylofon Media buys Ghana Movie Awards franchise
After signing top musicians and actors in Ghana’s entertainment industry, Zylofon Media has bought the franchise to Ghana Movie Awards.
The company will be organizing the award scheme starting from 2017.
This revelation was made by Head of Production at Zylofon Media, Enoch Attakora at the unveiling of five actors they signed last week.
Speaking at the awards, Mr. Attakora said, “we’ve taken over” Ghana Movie Awards.
Citi Showbiz’s investigations further prove that Zylofon will be hosting the awards for 10 years, barring any changes agreement. This means that Fred Nuamah and his team will not be handling the awards within this period.
Zylofon Media on Friday, June 30 unveiled actors Bibi Bright, Zynell Zuh, James Gardener, Toosweet Annan and Benedicta Gafah as the company’s ambassadors. The company has a three-year contract with each of them.
Zylofon Media has also intimated that it would finance movie production in the country so to boost the movie sector. In so doing, the faces of Zylofon actors will be given premium in casting. Measures will also be put in place to lobby for gigs for the signed actors.
Already, Zylofon Media has signed on to its music label, Kumi Guitar, Becca, Stonebwoy, Obibini and Joyce Blessing.
