Reggie ‘N’ Bollie made tourism ambassadors to Europe
The 2015 X-Factor runners-up, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, have been named Ghana’s tourism ambassadors to Europe.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Madam Catherine Afeku on Saturday, June 3 at the 2017 GUBA Awards in InterContinental London – The O2 in the United Kingdom.
“In recognition of what Reggie ‘N’ Bollie have done for the continent, for mother Ghana and for creative economy, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has nominated Reggie ‘N’ Bollie as the ambassadors for tourism, for Europe and especially the UK,” Hon. Catherine Afeku noted.
In tandem with this, the duo will market Ghana and its tourism to Europe through their music and brand.
After the announcement, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie took to Instagram to express their joy and gratitude for the task given them.
“We’re really thrilled and honoured to be chosen as U.K n European tourism ambassadors for our beloved country Ghana. We feel very humbled and privileged to represent Ghana and we will endeavour to raise the flag of Ghana high wherever we go,” they posted.
“A massive thank you to the Ghana minister for tourism Honourable Catherine Afeku, Mr Akwesi Agyeman, ministry of tourism, Ghana tourism board, members of our Africa management team and everyone who keeps supporting us,” Reggie ‘N’ Bollie further stated.
Reggie ‘N’ Bollie (formerly Menn on Poinnt) are a Ghanaian music duo consisting of Reggie Zippy and Bollie Babeface. They formed in 2012 and are best known for finishing as runners-up on the twelfth UK series of the X Factor in 2015.
Prior to that, they were individual artistes who plied their solo music trades in Ghana.
