Game of Thrones enters Guinness Book of Records
The march of Game of Thrones continues as the popular series has now entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
It has taken the record for largest TV drama simulcast after the second episode of season five of the fantasy epic was broadcast in a 173 countries simultaneously earlier this year.
That was two countries more than CSI, which took the record just five weeks earlier.
Receiving an official certificate on behalf of the show was Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark. She said: “I’m so pleased for Game of Thrones to be a part of Guinness World Records. I’m going to tell my step brother as he gets the book every year for Christmas. I can’t wait to see the look on his face.”
